At least thats what it looks like, one of the many versions.

Obviously I could spray a topical shot of several things BUT this stuff is very close to my lilies. Wouldnt it just drift over and kill them too?
I guess I could see if Tilapia would eat it but then they would surely eat my lilies too.
I can rake it out but everyone says it comes right back.
Opinions?

How much volume and why do you want it out? If it is not right next to othr plants you can spray it or rake it out in combo with pulling it up.

It is a ring about 18 inches wide around most of the pond. The leaves on top of the water just poppped up in the last week or so and are only on about 1/3. If this is all it's about, then it is fine. Kinda acts as a border to the real shallow area where all the babies are hiding. I was just worried since it was listed as one of the things folks try to get rid of, it would go crazy. I don't plan to do anything until I get a handle on how invasive it is.
Thanks!

If it was me, I'd be thrilled. That is one of my favorite pond weeds to have in a pond. I think it makes great fish habitat and shouldn't be overly invasive...

I will second that! It also make a great place for damsel flys and drangon flys to lay eggs in the water.
