With the "springy" season, I have taken the opportunity to thin out some 12-14 inch LMB in an overstocked 15 acre pond/lake. We clean all fish harvested and in doing so, I occasionally find small pale yellow "worms" in the meat of the fish. Are they harmful? What are they? They are sometimes embedded in the flesh. How do I get rid of them?
Chunk, wind and set the hook!

They might be parasites, sometimes called grubs. They are not harmful to humans if the meat is cooked.
They might be tied to the lifed cycles of snails in your pond.
Redear Sunfish will help control snail populations in your pond, and thus should reduce the presence of these grub/parasite thingys.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
