Does Anybody have a set of plans to make a mobile aeration system of approximately 100 gallons. I need to transport some Bass in the 2-3 pound range approximately 200 Miles.

I would think one of the 12 volt systems that striper guides use to keep their shad healthy ought to do it.

csmith – I am currently assembling a “mobile aeration system” with a heavy duty aquarium air pump, 12v to 110v inverter, and airstones for hybrid striper transport. I haven’t obtained the 100+ gallon tank as yet but have some ideas. I live in Plano – email me if I can be of assistance. George Glazener

Live well pumps for boats are pretty cheap and are 12 volt. They are in-line pumps so you'll have to have a hole in your live well. A sump pump might do (also in boating section) if you can't put a hole in the side. I use a floating pump I bought at Acadamy but they are smaller. I can put three or four 2 or 3 pound catfish in a 15 gallon barrel (half full) with it. What ever you do, DO NOT try to do it in 100 degree weather without using ice. If you do, put them in first, then cool off the water. Then when you arrive, slowly warm them with water from their new home. You maybe already know that but I thought I'd tell you just in case.
