hey guys, long time since I have been on here. Wondering if anyone could help me out. Is there a way to search for past magazine articles on here? I know you can search for forum topics, just wondering if I am over-looking something. Thanks!

Hi, tjstubbs. Welcome back! As far as I know, there is no way currently to search past mag articles. You'd need to actually pick up a copy of the mag itself. There's a directory on this forum or perhaps on the site that shows each each issue's general table of contents. Given some potential new changes coming to the site and forum, there's a chance that sort of searchability will become available, but for now, I do not believe that it is.
If you have a specific question, just post it in the relevant topic area and someone will no doubt give you input on whatever information you're looking for.

tjstubbs, Go to the Forum List - Common Pond Q&A (Archives) and look for annual magazine contents and indexes. All of them up through 2009 are there but spaced out in the Archives. It is suprising to me how many people do not know this exists. Maybe because it is hidden in the Archives. Here is the 2008 contents and index: http://www.pondboss.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=143564#Post143564This example is an Index for several yrs: http://www.pondboss.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=110229#Post110229

Bill, am I correct that the actual articles are not available, but rather just the TOC for each issue?

Currently the actual articles are available only in back issues of the magazine. The editor is in the process of changing that and hopefully SOON one can order individual articles and / or magazines as electronic pdf files.

Hey thanks guys, I was just reading Bob's post about upcoming changes to the forum, and I think that might be a useful resource. I knew you could order old back issues, but I was just looking for some specifics.
I had someone ask me a question at one of my sampling ponds for my thesis on fertilization and different NPK ratios,(and being a northern transplant in the south, I don't know much about fertilization), and I had seen a couple topics in the back issues that related to this, so I was just trying to search for those specific articles.
Thanks a lot Todd and Bill, greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for confirming, Bill. I thought that was the case and was going to be bummed to find that they were available somewhere else after all! Read about it being under consideration as one of the changes and think that's a great idea.
