just re-read my last post, was at work trying to post at the same time. I intended for it to say...I think that the bubbles will create a small mixing current. and in theory increase the water/gas surface area allowing difusion to occur.
I did not intend for it to sound like I was stating that is does....
Would like some feed back if this really works like i think it should

STU801 bubbles rising will certainly create a current. It will just not be nearly as efficient in relation to the energy expended for same results as properly designed and placed disc diffusers. I'll venture a guess that a home made "pipe" system or even using soaker hoses after less than a year in operation will have even 2% of the efficiency of membrane disc diffusers. Your idea WILL help to some degree. I am just saying you will be better off spending equal money for the membrane disc type system (FAR less work to maintain also)
