Hey for the new guys (Like Myself) out here that haven't really seen how to tag a fish I thought I would share this picture I found that it really seemed to help me grasp what exaclty the tag had to do under the skin and how it is inserted. I know a few guys on here have shown their fish they have tagged but it's a little easier to see whats going on in this outline pictue and exactly how the T tag is suppose to look once tagged. Anyway just thought I would share. 
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

No problem fish, when I saw it and said oh man that's how that works. I knew someone else may need to see it. I am going to start tagging and keeping records this March so I am glad I found that pic now and not later.

Hey Omaha I took a picture of it with my phone so I will have it with when it comes time to do my first few fish. I think it will help me out I hope anyway.

I need a lesson on the search function in this forum.  When you do it RC, let us know how it goes. I think I'll be tagging some fish for a variety of reasons when the time comes as well.

Yeah that was sweet right there!!! Cudo's for that video thanks a bunch. I didin't think you had to put the needle all the way into the fish like that. Sure looks like it hurts to me!!  Glad I am not the one being tagged!

I noticed something different than what I was doing, and I'm going to change my technique because of it. I was putting the tag in more of a 90* angle to the fish instead of coming from the rear going forward like is shown in the video. It makes sense to do that (rearward to forward).
Was that fin punched with a hole punch when the fish was smaller?
