It only freezes here a few times a year, and to have five days of below freezing temperatures is very rare. At the end of the fifth day, I wanted to see how thick the ice was on my small pond. My big pond was only 80% covered in ice, but my small pond was totally covered over. I could stand on it, but it cracked on me. I went over to the shady side of my dock and tried to walk out. As you can see in the video, I didn't get very far. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbdxg1zq2g0This was my first time to fall through the ice. After I dried off, I meassued the ice. It was only 1 1/4 inches thick. Eddie

Now Eddy do I have to show you on film how a real man falls through the ice? On second thought never mind. BTW I would hope the wife would be disinclined to allow me to do it let alone film it but in case she would agree I'd know I'm in deep do do.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Picking up the rifle after falling through the ice suggests so many possible endings to the full story.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Glad in the end everything turned out good. Everyone needs a little water to cleanse the soul, just not that much water. As has been stated it could be much worse. We all would rather hide certain things that we do.
