I am just curious about sterile rainbows. I heard that because they don't breed they grow twice as fast? http://www.troutlodge.com/

Twice as fast... Unlikely, a little faster perhaps.

Twice as fast... Unlikely, a little faster perhaps. Playing devil's advocate to the first post, I'm not sure you could get them to grow more than 1.5 inches a month regardless if they are sterile or not and you fed them to the max. However that said, the sterile fish don't put energy into gonadal development like the nonsterile fish do. Therefore they may be growing at peak performance at 1.5 inches per month while the nonsterile fish are not as in during spawning season.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
