I may have just taken over first place in receiving the July/August issue, it came today.
Mail in my neighborhood was really thrown off by the 4th of July holiday, it added a week to most and 10 days to some deliveries, but this is a head scratcher. The mag no longer comes in a plastic cover so maybe it is picking up a larger readership, which is good, and that may be part of the delay. But I would suspect that the USPS is mostly responsible.
My daughter mails me care packages, I can't shake the Mexican food habit, and started with one of those corner mail shops, that added $28 to the cost of a $42 dollar postage fee. So I asked her to try the PO. Those that she encountered there didn't know foreign rates so they shined her on, can't do, don't have, etc. So I sent her links to the regulations and rates and asked her to print them out and show them to whoever she dealt with, mistake. Never tell someone who knows nothing about the subject, what they should know, especially if they really should know.
So we are back paying 30 bucks extra because of what? I am not sure, lack of trust? don't want to deal with negativism?
By the way, I have to thank Pond Boss, Bob, because they are subsidizing my subscription fee. It costs Bob $8.44 per copy for postage.
1/4 & 3/4 acre ponds. A thousand miles from no where and there is no place I want to be...

Mine never showed up so I e-mailed the PB office. My 2nd copy came in a white envelope 4 days later. The first one is still MIA.

Worse yet....I got some aquatic plants from Thailand that cost me $4 with FREE shipping from there.....The guy emailed me when I asked what the shipping actually cost and he told me it was $.35US--The plants arrived in 5 days.
