Great pics Mobass, I always enjoy walking around the pond watching the wildlife, it's the best medicine for stress as long as I don't touch the electric fence.

Nice looking pond and story. I also really enjoy taking a walk around my pond, but never really thought about everyone else doing the same. My big pond is out of site from my home, so it's also a walk through the woods to get to it. It's not far, but my wife and I like to make an event out of it. She gets her binoculars and camera, I get my rifle so she feels safe. A few times I've killed snakes on our walks and a few times we've come across wild hogs. She's taken pics of them, but only a few times have we killed any hogs on our walks. Mostly we're just out for the walk and what we can see and not out hunting. I mow most of my land with a finish mower, which is ok for walking on. In other areas I bush hog it, which leaves taller grass and not so good for walking through. You don't know what's in there. Snakes to bugs, it's all bad. Around my pond and along our main trails, I mow with my zero turn mower so it's real short. That's the best for walking on. Nice short grass!!!!
My brother is staying in an RV behind our home until he closes on some land he's buying. He goes for walks with his dogs every day with the pond being the main focus. They are labs and they just love the pond. He brings a tennis ball and throughs it into the reeds along the shoreling to knock them down. They do a good job of it too!!!! Kind of a natural brush removal.

I'm impressed by anyone who can walk that far before finishing their A.M. caffeine.
