If you consider a blue crane indangered species, dont read., somehow anointed with the name 'great blue heron.' Saw 2 very nice yearling lmb with big holes in their back. I have been reserved. He will be buzzard bait tomorrow, or sooner than later.

My kinda guy,just remember,its a little bitty body under all them there feathers. Boy is that the truth! I had one tangle in a fishing pole that was laying on the pier and it was flopping around in the water by the time I grabbed it. I was amazed at how skinny and small the body was!

I had one tangle in a fishing pole that was laying on the pier and it was flopping around in the water by the time I grabbed it. I was amazed at how skinny and small the body was! Be careful! I know a guy that is missing an eyeball that got one in a trap and was trying to free it. I also know of an animal rehabilitator in Michigan that will not take them in anymore because one nailed her in the forehead. The beak is sharp, fast, and it goes for your eyes. When I had a federal permit to take them out I wouldn't get too close until I knew they were dead.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

My kinda guy,just remember,its a little bitty body under all them there feathers. Very true! When I took them out with my federal permit I can't tell you how many times I fired at one only to see it fly off. A taxidermist friend that has mounted them told me I was probably shooting through feathers.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I got lucky today I think, something has been eating all the nuisance critters. Took a shotgun today and had no use for it. Found a GBH and a smaller brown feathered crane eaten, just a pile of feathers, legs, and skull. Also, found my third nutria kill. I wonder what goes after shoreline animals for dinner, and can catch them.

Found a GBH and a smaller brown feathered crane eaten, just a pile of feathers, legs, and skull. Also, found my third nutria kill. I wonder what goes after shoreline animals for dinner, and can catch them. A coyote good at ambush? If you live trap it ship it to me will ya?  On second thought if it's an alligator never mind.
