Does anyone have a good idea how far fish will travel to eat pellets when the automatic feeder goes off? I have two feeders going now in the approximately 8 acre lake. It will be 10 acres once I raise the levee this summer and it fills up. I'm planning to run 3 feeders, but that still leaves a lot of water between feeders.

How many feeders and how much you feed depends on your goals. 3 feeders is enough for 10 acres in a normal recreational pond. Keep them at least 100 yards apart. If you feed all on the same schedule it won't be a problem. IIRC there is info providing that 1 feeder will cover 3-4 acres.

Thanks for the reply ewest. I didn't want to congregate all the fish in one area of the pond. I'll stick with three feeders spaced evenly.
When the feeders go off, I see wakes from a good distance headed over to get some pellets. Just didn't know what the distance limit would be.
