BGM -

I bought a cheap pair from Cabelas [$50] and they are working well - I mean, about as well as a pair of rubber boots should, I guess. Yours look more durable, comfortable, albeit twice the price - but I never shy away from $$ for higher quality footwear. You definitely get what you pay more, IMO.

I still just wear the sneakers that my wife tosses in the garbage. I retrieve them for wading.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I have a 5 year old pair of 16" wetland. Best boots I have ever owned for choring in the spring! But and this is a big one ... if you get poision ivy oil on or in the neoprene of the boot you can't get it off. Or at least I haven't been able to.

I may look funny walking around here with them, but I still have the pair of white shrimper boots that I used to wear when fishing out of San Diego harbor (Fisherman's Landing). Black boots (or any dark color) in 80* weather in full sun really cooks your feet quick! $20.00 at memphis net & twine

Wading though the muck in pink tennis shoes must be quite a site. Almost as good as wearing a pink cowboy hat.

He's just lucky he and Charlene have the same shoe size.

I hate muck boots - cheap or expensive. I've had both, and the high dollar ones didn't last any longer before getting a leak than the $19 specials from TSC. One of the hazards of living with Osage Orange/Bois D'Arc.

If at all possible, I wear my Pack (felt insert rubber bottoms, leather uppers) boots for wet/mud conditions. At least they are fairly comfortable for my feet.

We've got 1/3 a mile of it in old fence rows, plus sporadic trees here and there. They are up to 2+ ft dbh in size. I'd love to get rid of it, but I can't afford the chains and saws that would be needed.

We have had to learn to live with it.

Paid $80 for mine 2 years ago. They hold up great and most importantly fit like a broke-in sneaker. Buy them, you wont be disappointed.
