Believe it! I ate and had several adult beverages at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co. in Kona, Hawaii 2 weeks ago. Yep, got the T-shirt(actually Hawaiian shirt).

Here are the results from the survey. There were a total of 21 responses, 14 "Northern" and 7 "Southern." The respondents reported a total of 61 species/species groups in their ponds. In explanation of "species groups," I grouped responses like "minnows" and 7 different species of minnows I had never heard of before (Thanks, Bill Cody!) together as "Miscellaneous minnows."
First, here are the species reported being in forum members' ponds (past, present, and planned), along with the number of times each was reported: 1(tie) LMB-Large Mouth Bass 17 entries 1(tie) BG-Bluegill 17 entries 3 CC-Channel Catfish15 entries 4(tie) HSB-Hybrid Striped Bass 10 entries 4(tie) GC-Grass Carp 10 entries 4(tie) FHM-Fathead Minnow 10 entries 4(tie) YP-Yellow Perch 10 entries 8 SMB-Smallmouth Bass 8 entries 9 RES-Redear Sunfish 7 entries 10 GShiner-Golden Shiner 6 entries 11(tie) Misc. BlHd-Bullheads 5 entries 11(tie) Walleye 5 entries 11(tie) RT-Rainbow Trout 5 entries 11(tie) BCp-Black Crappie 5 entries 15(tie) HBG-Hybrid Bluegill 4 entries 15(tie) Mosquito Fish-Gambusia 4 entries 15(tie) Misc. Minnows 4 entries 18(tie) Rock Bass 3 entries 18(tie) Misc, Suckers 3 entries 18(tie) BrnT-Brown Trout 3 entries With 2 entries each: WB-White Bass, CNBG-Coppernose BG, GG-Georgia Giants, GSF-Green Sunfish, PS-Pumpkinseeds, Misc. Sunfish, TFS-Threadfin Shad, Misc. Chubs, NP-Northern Pike, CP-Chain Pickerel, WCp-White Crappie, Spoonbill/Paddlefish, Misc. Gar, Common Carp And with 1 entry each: BGxRES, BC-Blue Catfish, FHC-Flathead Catfish, Tilapia, GShad-Gizzard Shad, Misc. Shiners, Misc. Darters, Sauger, Saugeye, Musky, BrkT-Brook Trout, Misc. Trout, Misc. Buffalo, Bowfin, Misc. Fish and Minnows, Waterdogs, Quillback, Brook Siversides, Goldeye, Drum, Redhorse
Next, what were the favorite fish? Here are the combined favorites: 1 LMB 7 votes 2 SMB 3 votes 3(tie) HSB 2 votes 3(tie) BG 2 votes 3(tie) YP 2 votes and with 1 vote each: CNBG, GG, RT, BrkT, Black Bullhead
The Northern Favorites: 1 LMB 5 votes 2 SMB 3 votes 3(tie) BG 2 votes 3(tie) YP 2 votes and with 1 vote each: HSB, Black Bullhead
The Southern (traditional South plus Arizona) Favorites: 1 LMB 2 votes and with 1 vote each: HSB, CNBG, GG, RT, BrkT
Notice that Trout are favored in the South?

Thanks, Theo. I think that survey type of threads will prove to be very valuable over time. You have provided us with some baseline info. Think about how this will change five years from now.

Thanks a lot Theo. Not many people would've taken the time to add all of that together. Hehe and i loved the way you said " traditional south plus Arizona". - Jighead
