The brother's up Nort September fishing trip has been adjusted on the calendar so everything is cool on that front.  Now a new problem has cropped up. Since I will be fishing for four days prior to the conference my fishing prowess will be highly tuned; a powerful fishing machine. So then, in good faith, I cannot participate in the Thursday fishing tournament.

JWHAP and I are debating as to whether or not to bring a fishing pole and reel. We don't have any collapsable poles, most of our poles are two piece and would be a pain to lug around an airport. I don't have any interest in participating in a fishing tournament (I've personally witnessed Condello, Nate, Chris and several others fish and I'm clearly not in their league). But we're thinking it might be fun to do some fishing while we're there. I'll have to think on this some more.

You could always ship some gear ahead of time. UPS Ground might be pretty cheap although you have to watch the dimensions. They gig you if the length is over some predetermined length even though it may be lightweight.
Or you could do some shopping with Popiel.

JHAP, remind me in September and I will bring some extra fishing gear for you and Ricki to use. Nothing fancy, but good enough to let you (and me) get outfished by Condello.

Thank you Theo I'll do that. Based upon what I've seen it wouldn't take much for Condello to out fish me - he would probably win a fishing tournament against me armed with a broken broom handle, a piece of yarn tied to it with a bottle cap for a lure. It's just hard to compete against the vibe he puts out, it even effects the fish.

I would be interested in some competitive fishing but I'm not wasting my time fishing for green carp.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

If you have a room reservation please go ahead and register for PB III . Plans need to be made and accommodations completed. There will be a large push to get local Bass Pro customers and prior BP seminar attendees to come as well. Now is the time to save your place.

I'm going to register ASAP before the early price deadline. However as far as the rooms I may have to camp out.  Not saying the rooms are too expensive but the recession had finally taken hold big time up here business wise. Thank God we have a second income. But I will be there and I can't wait! I can't wait to see you all again and stay the whole time this time!
