Windmill trivia..... I recall my grandfather having a propeller/wind vane contraption on top of his 2 story house to generate electricity to charge batteries for his radio. This was before rural electricity was available.
I even remember the gas lights…… This was in the 1930’s.
I have often wondered why alternator/generators of some type could not be used on windmills in addition to air pump for pond aeration.

I'm sure glad we didn't have a contraption like that. I have a pretty good idea that I would have been sent outside to make sure the vanes got turned.

At the Pond Boss Show in Texas this year, Outdoor Water Solutions had a research and development windmill head that was producing air and electricity. Look for them in the near future, the demand is definitly there. I assume all major brands are developing this type of product.
