I noticed one LMB is becoming a regular at dinner time on my pond. I feed GFC primarily for the BG but other fish come to dinner. I usualy have 5-6 CC, 1 albino CC, 4-5 GC countless BG and a few HBG. The LMB showed up about a week ago.
The food chain in my pond is a little overeaten due to overpopulated LMB (I have been removing LMB but it's hard to keep up with a 2 month old baby). is GFC a respectable meal for LMB? The pellet size is so small I assumed they were using more energy to get the pelets than they got from the pelets. Maybe not since he keeps coming back.
Feeding time has become great family entertainment. At first my family was not verry interested in the feeding. Now that there are lots of fish and some larger fish showing up my family has realy taken an interest. The albino CC is always a big hit. Kids love to see him come to the surface and suck down the GFC.

My LMB started out on GFC; it's what they learned to feed on. The early eaters got nothing (artificial) but GFC for a couple of years.
It's not optimum for LMB (low in protein), but if the average bass only takes 5-6 pellets during a feeding session (Dr. Mark Griffin info from Arlington IIRC), your lone LMB feeder isn't getting a lot of volume each day. Unless he is really skinny, he has to be eating some natural food too - in that case I think his health should be fine.
