Had some friends out yesterday to shoot trap. Pretty windy and the only place I could find that was reasonably calm was east of the big shed, towards the oldest pond.
Now, a pair of CG had raised 7 young'uns there and they're almost ready to fly, but the still hang around running between the 2 ponds and yesterday they were on the big one...you know, 150 yards from where we were shooting.
Each time we quit shooting, they'd all run up on the dam and sit to watch what we were doing...but when we started shooting again, they'd swim over near us and watch. This from about 75 yards away. Never did seem to bother them...
Good time, but now I've got to net out a couple dozen wads from the pond. Didn't expect them to go so far, but the wind was pretty strong...
In a lifetime, the average driver will honk 15,250 times. My wife figures I'm due to die any day now...
