Hello all! Well after doing some research I'm still not sure what route to go. I'm looking to purchase some literature, CD's or DVD's on how to build a pond. I'm not to interested in managing a pond since that is my current job (lake $ pond management). I want to build a small pond (0.1acre) on my property. I just would like to know what would be the best information source (besides this forum and yes it is FILLED with GREST info.) for pond construction.
I would greatly appreciate any input. I looked and the books and CD's on this site, just not sure which is right for me. Thanks to all!

Welcome to the PB Forum.

1. Get Perfect Pond.

2. Order PB mag for articles like 3 below

3. The Nov/Dec 07 issue of PB mag has an article by Doc Cornwell on building NY ponds and pond building legend Ed Nadeau (60 years exp and 5000 ponds in NY). Doc Cornwell can be reached at CORNWEMD@Cobleskill.edu -- see A. below and one on design considerations for Northern Ponds --- see B. below :

Nov/Dec Pond Boss Mag.

A. TEN LESSONS FROM A POND BUILDING LEGEND. Cornwell and E.V Nadeau discuss 10 important lessons for pond construction.

B . BUYING OR BUILDING A NORTHERN POND. Willis provides helpful advice for those seeking a new pond. He covers pond depth, hill or excavated pond, gravel
pits, water movement and how soil fertility affects fish and water.

Another good source is Ray Scott's "Great Small Waters" videos which PB sells also.
