I went up to my property on Monday and experienced something new -- the frogs were croaking like crazy, all day long, all over the lake, incredibly loud. It was really cool!

Does this have something to do with mating? Any other ideas or thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes Fishman Dan. The croakers are the males attracting mates. I have noticed that toads especially croak following rainfall. Probably because they lay their eggs in puddles created by the rain. I noticed a ton of leopard frogs at our pond over the weekend including many sets of "couples". I also found quite a bit of evidence of "recently eaten" frogs probably from racoons preying on these amorous amphibians!
