New pond will be stocked with fingerling Tiger bass this summer. Is there a size chart anyone has used to keep track of fast and slow growing fish and eventually used that data to harvest?
I think their growth rate is too "pond dependent" for a universal chart to apply.
Maybe keep good sampling records with dates, lengths, and weights? With enough data you should be able to figure out which slow-growers and fish with poor Relative Weights should be culled in the future.
P.S. Angling for Tiger bass to sample growth rates sounds like awfully enjoyable work to me!
