I just purchased some shad and thinnk that I am being charged to much. First I know that when they put them in they never looks like very many. I was told I would get 1/2 a load for 600.00. This was about 3 weeks ago in Ga. I told them I wanted fertile shad and was told that these came from north Alabama and were fertile. When the truck arrived it was a 4 compartment truck with each compartment being 100 gallons each. Prior to release I opened up the lid on one of the compartments and took the net about 12" x 12" and went to the bottom of the tank and got about 100 good looking shad from 2" up to 5". Did not appear to be many in the tank. Prior to being placed in the lake I was told there were about 2500 to 3000 in the tank which I thought no way maybe a few hundred at best. Well since I was going to get a 1/2 load maybe there were more in the other tank. He put the one container in and I waited for the other one to be placed in the lake and was then informed it was just the one 100 gallon container for 600.00. He is billing me and I want to do the right thing but just dont seem like I got 2500, not even close. I bought them from a local pond manager so my issue is with the pond manager not the hauler which is why I did not confront the hauler at the time. I know I did not get even close to 2500 to 3000 really dont thing I got more than a few hundred at best. Am I being unreasonable to complain about this or question it? After they delivered them I did call the supplier and asked what a 1/2 a load consisted of and he told be 2500 to 3000. He also told me it would be 2 compartments. I think maybe I got 300.00 dollars worth at best. Any advise??

Sounds like one of them is not telling you the truth. If the seller says 2 bays and the truck only put in 1 . Tell the seller he only put in 1 bay and see what he says. Tell him it looked like a couple hundred fish max .

Best advice - only deal with people who's reputation is good and worth more than the fish.

Big Jake send me an email if you like. I think I know who you use as seller and who brought the fish. If who I think there should have been about 1500 to 2000 per 100 gallon hole. I do not use them anymore.

As a paying customer your have every right to ask where your money went and have someone give you an explanation as to why you were told two holes and only ended up getting one.
