Hello everyone!
Me and the Mrs bought some land that has a 2.75 acre
pond in east texas!
Ive been reading thru the old threads(and new) and have
a lot of questions but will wait for now!
Pond is runoff fed, (16 feet deep at least) and thats all i know
at this point!(hope to move in oct).
The past owners stocked the pond but never fished it
(pets), so who knows whats in it?
Stunted bass etc?
Anyways, learning all i can for now so just wanted to say hi!

Welcome Larry from Deep East Texas!! Sounds like you will be off to a good start. So in October you will be living on the property with the pond? That makes it sooo much better to keep an eye on everything and do whatever needs to be done on the pond!! Good luck and ask lot's of questions!

thanks everyone!
yes, the plan is to move there in oct but as you know
life is a bit "wonky" right now!
Right now just reading alot(took a few pond management classes
etc and plenty of youtubers including bob lusks pod cast etc!
ive had fishtanks all my life so know a bit about ammonia etc
but not on such a grand scale as we plan to now!..😎😎
IF i was asked 10 years ago about managing a pond with about
6 million gallons i would have just laughed!
thanks again for the welcome!
