Hey y'all... Looks like I've found the ultimate resource to guide me through my new pond construction. I grew up with a pond in the yard, and I'm getting ready to build one of my own on my property. My 5 year old son is eat up with fishing and we go to my brothers pond every Sunday so he can catch a few bass. He recently gave me an ultimatum.... "Either we turn our crawfish ponds into bass ponds or we have to build a bass pond." His words exactly. Lol

We are preparing to build a house next year so it's time to break ground and build a house pad. Additionally, I'm about to commence a massive renovation of my existing crawfish ponds including laser leveling which would have some big equipment on the property that could make short work out of a fish pond and house pad. So it's now or never. Planning to build a 1 acre pond adjacent to my crawfish ponds which will but up to the future house pad.

B,
Welcome to Pond Boss...Tons of good info and lots of good helpful folks here. Where abouts are you from in Acadia Parish? My father was from Church Point and mother was from Richard.

I have a church point address but I live in the Mire/Branch area. I'm a transplant, born and raised in Scott... So I don't know many people from Church Point, just people in my area.
