Not a new member but today I feel "born again".

About 3 years ago I bought a lot on a 14 acre private lake. Soon I became disillusioned with a few other owners on the lake that fought tooth and nail against any pond management actions. "Who cares if aquatic vegetation takes over the whole lake?" Several Pond Boss veterans warned about "buying property where you have to share the water". Of course I didn't listen. So I finally sold the property and started a journey to find something I didn't have to share with strangers.

The story has a happy ending.
Yesterday I closed on a property with a creek,
2 small ponds, and a 5 acre lake.

So fellows I am happy to be back in the club!

Thanks esshup. Well I've already had it electro-surveyed and the results showed it has an excellent bluegill population. They suggest adding a couple of feeders, threadfin shad, some florida bass, a few cats, possibly some hybrid stipers. Even with the good report I am not catching as many fish as I'd like, so I want to head in that direction. They said I could make one of the small upper ponds a catfish haven.

May find an ATV on Craiglist to have fun in the woods.

Also would like to throw up a "weekend get-away" log
cabin in the next year or so. Maybe something like this:

Thanks....no house yet.

My brother and I are planning on
having a couple small log cabins built.

That way when friends visit with
"nutty wives" they can be in a
different cabin! Ha Ha...

Something small like these:

Welcome home Zep ! Beautiful place. I can see lots of possibilities there. You should sit down and think about all the options and make a list. You could easily make one of the small ponds a put and take CC and HBG pond.
