Can someone tell me what this is? I'm colorblind so I never even tried to learn the difference in all the fish. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Light is just a tad off for good color to show up, but I'd lean toward BG but mouth looks a bit large to me. Just hard to tell for sure there.

Too elongated for BG IMO. I'm leaning more toward GSF, or possibly a BG/GSF cross.

I will try and get some better pictures. I was walking around the pond last night and this one jumped out. I was just shining the spot light around and once 1 jump I think they all jump.

At that size it’s tough to tell the difference in bg and gsf

Green sunfish or possibly a hybrid, body shape is just not the same as the bluegill.

I think a hybrid with GSF also. It looks similar to YOY in a BOW I fish that produces both BG-GSF and RES-GSF hybrids. Are there any RES in this BOW where the fish is from?

I put in 12 lbs of fhm 1st year. Second year in put in 100 cc. My father in law and put in (some crappy). I have put maybe 10 bass and a few what we call perch. We always called all the pan fish perch.

12 lbs minnows
100 cc
10 bass
30 crappy
10 perch

RS- Then I can say without a doubt.... that is a perch.

Roundy...are you sure it's not a bream or maybe a panfish?

Iv never heard of some of these names everyone on here says. I used to think all the panfish were perch.

RS - Don’t sweat it, just having a little fun with you. Around my neck of the woods, Freshwater drum are referred to as perch. When talk to locals about trying to raise Yellow Perch, I get a quizzical looks and nobody has any idea what I’m yapping about. Here is a pic of our river perch, I found on google.
