Cool concept, Zep! I love "outside of the box" problem solving.
My old father and old uncle sometimes go out to the farm and it is definitely a chore for them to get out and get through some of the gates that I have stretched tight.
Plus, just think how stylish I will look when I drive my gull wing Ferrari into the farm.
I assume that the foot plates look enough like "pipe cattleguards" that cattle won't walk on the mechanism and let themselves through the gate.

RAH the video shows it closing at the 1:17 mark and explains closing at the 1:32 mark

Last year I finally got an electric gate...
What a life changer that was.
It got old getting out of the car 4 times for a run to Dairy Queen.

That's pretty cool. Warm climate only though, I bet that there would be problems with snow and ice. Great solution though!!!
