Same to you, James! How big are your LMB now?

I have not caught but one big male awhile back that was over 2 1/2 pounds. With my last female caught way back in early June weighing 3 1/2 pounds and only 16 inch long her relative weight was 155%. I have caught 3 in about that range. I suspect in the last 5 months surely I have at least some 4-4 1/2 pounders wouldn't you think?? How big are the lmb your catching? What is you record?

I'm right there with you Flame. Its been 4 yrs this month when I stocked the pond with cnbg, res, Tfs and Fhm's at 1/3rd full pool. Like you, my cnbg population has been really good with a few caught in the 10" range. And the lmb growth has been excellent with high RW's. The downside to all the cnbg was lack of lmb reproduction along with low catch rates on the lmb because they had so much forage to eat. To combat the low catch rates and to improve the bite I added some feed trained lmb 6 months ago and that has really improved the catch rates and I have seen some substantial growth while feeding them the Aquamax lmb feed. I am looking forward to next springs lmb spawn to produce my own F 1 lmb.

Like you, the good people here and their recommendations have helped me to understand and try to help me correct what all has taken place at the pond during the past 4 yrs. I also have to say thanks to Todd Overton for all his help too.

Wow, you have great growth! You likely do have some 4-4 1/2 lb LMB by now as they fatten up during the fall.

Electro survey showed I have 80 to 90 percent RW LMB up to about 14 inches, need to cull more 8 to 14 inchers. Around 15 inches they get very healthy, with RW running in 120 to 140 percent range. Biggest fish was 17 inch 3.85 lb, which Justin Stane said was 141% RW.

Like Tracy, I experienced very positive results from adding aggressive feed trained N LMB last fall. Look forward to F1 in the future!

Sounds like we are all doing pretty good. Next Saturday I will be going to another members pond to witness his electroshock survey on a 2 acre pond about 1 1/2 hours from here. It will be my first. I am excited and looking very much forward to it to learn what I can and help if I can. Headin to Texas motor speedway in the morning for nascar. Will be sitting on the start finish line!! Should be fun.

You've got good range of entertainment, James. From fast cars to slow electrofishing!
