Hey all, first time posting so bear with me smile Purchased 15 acres last year with a 2.5 acre pond (right side of picture). The pond is very old and full of silt. It is spring fed and water is crystal clear but only 2-3 feet deep in most spots due to all the sediment. I've started to fill out all the dredging permits and working with contractors on where to store the silt. From everything I've read it is basically impossible to drive any machinery into the pond, even after it has been drained for a few months. Pond is about 150' across by 600' long as a reference. Second picture shows where I'm thinking of spreading the silt out in red. That area is about 2.5 acres as-well. The blue area is a flood plane so no material can be located there. Does this plan make sense? Any foreseeable issues? How high can you realistically pile the silt? Thanks in advance!

Pic software isn’t working but is being investigated.

One consideration that you may already realize. The stuff will be hoping to work with/on will be the consistency of pudding.
