Moved the 59 from warehouse storage to the shop for some work. I want to get her road ready for summer.

The engine started right up after several years. When I put it in storage I "fogged" the engine and ran through some clean gas with Stabil until it stopped.

Before starting, I pulled the plugs for cleanup of the fogging oil, spun her over with starter until the oil pressure light went off. Put the plugs back in, filled the carb with fresh gas and varrooommmm. After a warm up I drove over to the shop.

First things: brakes, rear transmission seal, differential seal, replace the upper and lower radiator hoses, check all systems, new tires, and the beat goes on......

Beautiful!!!!

I've had many older cars, some of them I wish I still had .

I never had my true love, a 32 Ford. Someday.

That's is such a nice ride! 59 was a stand alone year, all the fins, leg room, and chrome. You are one lucky car owner. Just don't bang'er up - Replacement parts may not exist.
