Way to go, John!
Expect it anytime here.
Q-Tips lol. I was making something for iFunny app yesterday
This was last year. I won't eat them but cousin calls them Beefsteaks. I give all I find to him and he is still alive. Topped a pizza with some mushroom of a similar color one time near a cow pie and I was in a cartoon for 2 days. I'll stick with the Grey's, whites and yellows. 🍄
TJ doesn't know it yet, but I'm planning on moving in with him and his family for the next month or so and he's taking me 'shroom hunting. I have an empty freezer to fill!!
Sunday Monday Lokking good here.
Nice job John - so you were smelling colors for a couple days? LOL - were you posting on PB back then?
Let me know when your yellows start popping...we may have greys start there this coming week and weekend. Have the moisture, just need some 50 degree nights.

TJ, you better drag your rain gear out if he does.
Last year we dehydrated a bunch, then fried em up in the Boundary Waters with taters and fresh SMB, sounds good for breakfast this morning!
Yellows are now popping up in phelps county, Mo.
Yellows are up TJ. Just found this after dark. Don't ask no questions and I'll tell no lies. Lol.
Well done Tony - looks like a mixed bag - should be popping around here soon...just need some rain.
Great job Tony. I hit a honey hole of morels Monday. Looked down after seeing one and decided to take a pic since I hadn't found not one after nearly 10 miles of hiking previous two days. I looked at screen on my camera while focusing and notice more in background. I then looked up and around. They where everywhere. A morel paradise in my parts. The feeling was the same a killing a wall hanger buck. The hard part came with interrogations of friends and family wanting to know where I found them. I just had one answer. The woods. Lol. Great day. Found them all in a 10x20 area.
My uncle seen my morels and went to one of his sweet spots that evening. Came back with these. Neither one of eat these but my cousin loves them. Ate them all in two days.
Molly helped me prep them. And loved them. She is picky when it comes to food at her age. It was a battle between her and prego mommy. Got 19 more yesterday soaking in fridge.
BTW, we had no flour so I improvised with corn starch. The results were spectacular. Extra crispy on outside and morel goodness on inside. I'm going to try a 50/50 mix flour cornstarch today.
Yum! I love outside. My 3 week vacation is over today though. I'll look again Monday.
You guys are cruel postin pics like that. I'm stuck down here in Fl where the only shrooms I know of pop up out of cow patties. Ate one once and thought I'd fallen into the Disney movie Fantasia.
Nuff said Bob-O your telling on yourself again!
Just head to the beach Bob. I am sure there is something there to look at that will take yer mind off it!
Bill, I'm just a dumb country boy that eats most everything that is pretty, Those funny shrooms have a real nice purple center to em. Can't even walk by without admiring em.
Bill, spring break has wound down quite a bit so these distractions are much fewer and farther between. Besides getting to the beach can be a real challenge.
