I wouldn't have guessed techno viking was into ponds.

Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover.

I hear his pond video is coming out soon. I wonder if it will be available for purchase through the PB Store.

Welcome, Techno Viking.

How fortunate am I to be the first to lay this humble greeting at your feet....and also to most respectfully queery you on a matter of utmost importance.

Techno Viking man, Welcome!

Please advise on habitat, stocking rates and forage for the following Nordic fish varieties; I would like to have something special in my new pond and I know you are the man with the plan.

Østersjøsild
Rognkall
Regnbueørret
Torsk

Oh and don't leave out Sik & Laks

Thanks

I like this guy already.

"Sik" is popular for its caviar and the only pure freshwaterfish on your list (common whitefish)
"Regnbue ørret" (rainbow throut)
"Laks" (salmon)
If you try to stock the other speiceis in your pond, then it better be a saltwater pond.

Awright! The perfect opportunity to get our Scandinavian fish questions answered!

"How many lutefisk should I stock per acre?"

Theo- lutefisk is a "delicacy" maybe you should try some with bass

DavidV- Appears that i am again "stuck" with your questions

More to come I am busy preparing game that I have conquered
Posted By: DavidV Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 12:50 AM
Never mind my questions if they are too difficult or you deem them not worthy. Being a Viking kind of guy I just figured you would have some knowledge of your ancestral, aquatic heritage.
Posted By: Theo Gallus Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 12:52 AM
Can I stock lutefisk and gefilte fisch in the same BOW?
Posted By: Sunil Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 01:16 AM
I think you guys are trying to take Techno Viking to task in the wrong areas of his pond expertise.

Let me take a crack at it.

Techno Viking, how best should I dance around my pond, and more specificially, what kind of music should I be listening to while at my pond?
Posted By: andedammen Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 01:24 AM

Here in Norway the laws are simple, music is your choise.

Save me Ole! Oye! I thought everybody knew that lutefish needs a pH of 13.9. Gefilte fish need a pH of 0.2. Put them in the same BOW and you get more than a 1000 X explosion than you would get with mixing vinegar and baking soda!

Those Viking Laws maybe some real words to live by.

"Don't plan everything in detail"
"Agree on important points"
"Arrange things so that you can return"

Awesome stuff!

Being brave, clean, and reverent ought to be in there somewhere.
Posted By: DavidV Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 01:47 AM
I'll never forget Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis having it out. Love those Vikings. Glad we have one aboard.
Posted By: Techno Viking Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 02:01 AM
Theo is hungry.
We are not boy scouts we are aquatic conquerers.
To stimulate your fish to the highest productivity one should dance around the pond in a breechcloth in rythm to gregorian chants or my favorite techno
Posted By: CJBS2003 Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 02:31 AM
I am betting Techno Viking's favorite drink is mead...
Posted By: burgermeister Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 02:33 AM
The last time I was on a boat launch with some fearsome Norsemen, heading to their ship....they all chucked their cookies. Then they get on board and cut off a slab of that rottening meat hanging up at the bar while throwing darts.
Posted By: Sunil Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 02:58 PM
andedammen, what happened to the Viking Rules?

That was awesome.

Theo, are you willing to try this, or would it void your security clearance?

Maybe if we substituted a little Alcatrazz or Pallas for the Gregorian Chant?
Posted By: Theo Gallus Re: Techno Viking! - 11/03/09 08:30 PM
I have no problems with Gregorian chanting - we do the one from Holy Grail here frequently- but it's getting too cold for breechcloths.
