jim's place.

There is a company called Live Maine Lobsters, and you can find them on the net. They overnight live lobsters, and as long as you have a good delivery address that FedEx will hit, overnight, you are good to go.

Now I doubt you can get delivery on Thanksgiving, but they might hold for a day if you take delivery on Wednesday. You'd have to call and ask.

You can keep lobsters alive in a bathtub for 24 hours. Fish Wife did that one year for my birthday.

I didn't use that little toe much anyway.

n8ly & Tom,
Mi casa es su casa, just tell the two armed guards at the front gate that your PB members and your delivering five cases of Corona’s and bacon wrapped barbecued large white prawns, that should get you two in the door.

Mmmmmmmm, I love that dressing.

Don't know what we're having. Dinner is at one of JWHAP's sister's house. It's going to be a large crowd: Ricki's Mom & Dad, Ricki and her four sisters, the five brother's in law (JHAP included), eight grandchildren and four great grand children. They better have a turkey the size of an Osterage or we're gonna be in trouble.

My wife placed our order with….

I don’t know part of “ recession “ she doesn’t understand. Them folks up in Maine sure are proud of them little critters.

By the time Tom and I get there, I can guarantee there will be no corona's or bacon wrapped prawns left. We will however need some pumpkin pie upon arrival and a place to nap (preferrably by a fire place) before dinner!

Jeff, my thanksgiving at my parents house this year consists of my mothers siblings and their kids and their kids' kids.....My mom has 10 brothers and sisters, they are all married with an average of 4.3 kids each and many of those kids are married with multiple kids an get this, they all live within 40 miles!

Me too Fats. We're kinda traditional. So traditional that we use my Mothers dressing recipe. Never found any other that even came close. Guess I better get off the PC and start making pecan pies.

We will be having turkey, which I don't like, but with enough other wonderful stuff that I will not have even the slightest excuse to complain - shrimp, baked potatoes, fresh bread, corn, and probably 5 or 6 different kinds of pie (my Mom and Fish Wife get in each others' face with pies), plus the candied yams that Fish Wife makes just for my Dad which, the whole time he eats them, Mom scolds him and tells him that he doesn't like them.

I'm actualy cooking a turkey this year. My family has had pork chops and dressing for about 24 years. My grandma loved pork chops and dressing so we made it for her every year at Thanksgiving.

I have to start brining the turkey tonight. It needs atleast 12 hours in the brine. The Brine makes the Turkey incredibly flavorfull and juicy.

We are having a small Thanksgiving this year. Just my wife, my mom, and myself. It should be relaxing compared to previous years. We will probably open a bottle of wine eat some turkey and watch some football. Some much needed R&R.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

We have a saying in our family: "It's not really Thanksgiving unless you watch the Lions lose."

Traditional fair with extended family at our house. It is a big deal to the ladies in the family - the guys just want to eat , watch football , tell hunting results and nap. Me - I just give thanks that the celebration is possible. \:\)

We are having a traditional meal(at least for us) at our place. The Collinater and Faith will be here.

The outside cats get the turkey carcass and miscellaneous parts. They even get the neck this year since I already have a dozen of them in the freezer(crayfish bait)! \:\)

Probably a ham sandwich. \:\(

Had my Thanksgiving last Saturday. No1 Son and family couldn't make it down here for TG, so they drove down a week early. We had roast AND turkey, rice dressing AND cornbread dressing. My 3 grandsons and 1 grand daughter (9, 9, 11, 7) are eating machines, so little went to waste.

JK about the ham sammage... I think we're planning to grill up some steaks this afternoon. Heh heh heh.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

E West:
Don't you feel sorry for us Michiganders stuck with the Losing Lions all these years, it is pitiful if you ask me. My husband makes lots of money betting against them, they just are so darn bad, and now they invested that money in the new Ford Field, what a waste, we would be better off with no them than that team, just an indicator of all of Detroit, crappy auto company execs. and crappy football, and lakes full of algae and gizzard shad.
