I know this is outside the box for topic of discussions here but here goes. My better half had alot to do with the building of our pond, I promised her it was for the fun of our three girls as well as for fishing. During the construction of the pond, we left and area for swimming about 4.5 ft deep with a nice beach area. girls are 5,9,12. We have a 10x12 dock mounted on telephone poles straddleing the dropoff from 4.5 to 10 feet. She, along with suggestions of a few friends, think we should install a 'zipline' from one of the poles of the dock to the pond bank so the girls can slide down and drop off where they want. Another thought we should mount a pole at a slant and attach a rope for a rope swing. Our pond is new and filling (just over 4 ft now) so we still have time to add if we want.
Does anybody else have any ideas or pics of any water toys they have so we can decide??
would love to see others views on this subject.

On a recent trip to a lake there was some kids playing on one of the rave sports aqua tower playgrounds:

They looked like they were having the time of their life. I wish that I had one as a kid! \:D

I think they would be safer since they are all inflatable.

The neatest thing I ever saw at a pond was an 80 foot waterslide. This was at a 10 to 15 acre pond in a campground. There was a fairly high hill on one side of the pond and the owner bult a wooden slide framework up the hill. He used stainless steel sheet metal for the slide bottom and sides, and had a small water pump at the bottom to pump water up to the top where it sprayed out onto the slide.

That slide was a blast! We stayed there for a few weeks one Summer while my Dad was working out of town and it was like an extended vacation. I went down that slide 37 times. The "kick" at the bottom would throw you out 50 feet or so from shore.

Cheap and fun. Tire inner-tubes, in several sizes. At least one big one -- big enough for 6 people to get on. No zip line. To easy fly into the end post or shallow water and get hurt. Big slide would be great. No diving boards. Check with your insurance agent about coverage before you need it and find out you are not covered.
