Hi, one acre Ohio aerated pond 9 ft deep with very clear water and dyed with Aquashade. In the past week I’ve found Seven dead adult large mouths. All of them are the larger fish that I stocked two years ago (stocked 80).

No other dead fish have been found, Including bluegill, red ear, channel cats, Hybrid striped bass nor any juvenile largemouth.

I had my aeration running about 1/3 of the day and I increase that two hour on and half hour off intervals today in case it was an oxygen issue.

Any ideas guys?

Are any of the other species large fish? If not, and the only big fish were the LMB (some of which died), that hints at an oxygen problem. I'd increase aeration substantially until it gets figured out.

Will do on the O2. Also, there are a ton of shiners, baby bluegill and minnows in the pond and I dees with Aquamax, so they definitely didn’t starve.
