It is time for a get together.

We are looking at the Saturday after Easter. The 23rd of Apr.

For those who have been here before, you know the fun we have had. For those who have not been to a get together, it is to be experienced.

We have added a lot of waking trails on the west side of the lake, we have a few solar projects, and we have Tilapitopia and the brood ponds.

All in all, it is always a blast.

I am going to see if I can make this work.

Unless things change, I’ll be there.

Thanks for putting this together. Can't make the 23rd, though.

Jludwig,
If you can make it, it has always been a good time.

Dave,
We look forward to seeing you again,

Frank,
You are always welcome to see the updates!

I think we are scheduled to fly back home from Bonaire mid April so I think we can make it. I will let you know for sure a few days before.

Correction: I have just been informed we do not get back home till mid May, not mid April. So I guess we will miss it. :-(

We will miss you both.

Thanks Brian. We are out of town the weekend before, but will try to attend. Today put us down as 60/40 and hopeful the odds improve. You and Heather always host memorable Pond Boss events.

Well heck, just found out, from my wife, that this date is the date of my high school reunion. It’ll be the last one since not a lot of people are still around who graduated in 1960.

Maybe next time.

Enjoy the reunion. Remember the good times, and we will se you at the next one!

Looks like I'll be able to pop in for a little bit. Headed to Missouri that day, so can swing by for a few hours. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

If there's a bouncy house, I'll probably be there as well.

Just curious...any t-shirts planned for this year?? Hah!
Posted By: highflyer Re: PB get together in East Texas - 04/08/22 11:02 PM
Bob,
Glad you can stop by it is always good to see you.

Bouncy house ordered.

Sunil doesn't get to use it, until he achieves Freak status.

I have not heard of any t-shirts this time. it might be too late to consider them. Also, it looks like the crowd will be smaller than normal.

Anyone else considering the outing?

Okay, we are one week out. So far there are around 15 people interested. While there is never a last call, I would like to get a headcount for lunch.

Anyone else thinking about attending? It should be fun.

Brian, I would really love to attend, but my SMB started blowing eggs yesterday. That's going to put me in the babysitting mode for the next 10-14 days. I didn't want to say yes, then pull out. You guys/gals have fun!

"...SMB started blowing eggs yesterday."

Oh the things that bring joy to the world!!!
Posted By: highflyer Re: PB get together in East Texas - 04/17/22 09:01 PM
Kenny, it would have been good to see you, but there is always next time. Enjoy baby siting mode.

Sunil, More joy is a good thing!

I should clarify the babysitting part.. :-))
My SMB in Spawning tanks are blowing eggs into spawn mats..
Tomorrow I will remove full mats, sanitize and put in hatch tank.
Repeat every day until fish are done but hatched fry need to go to pond in 6 days post hatch, that's the babysitting part.

Okay, everyone is still welcome, but I would like to know the numbers to figure out lunch plans.

Any other takers? It should be warm and partly cloudy. The fishing should be real good with that weather. I think it might be time to release some of the Tilapia as well. The numbers will tell.

Two. Do I need to bring anything?
Posted By: highflyer Re: PB get together in East Texas - 04/22/22 08:19 PM
We are getting lunch. Bring a smile and if you want to fish, your favorite tackle.

Oh and maybe a favorite chair. We have some, but maybe not enough.
