Hi all. The water level is dropping dramatically in my small, 6 X 6 pond but only when the waterfall pump is running. It isn't splashing much at all on the sides, no more than usual, but the water dropped way down within an hour of turning the waterfall pump on today. When it isn't on, no water drop. Any ideas? TIA.

Is the entire run of the hose to the pump intake and the entire run of the hose from the pump discharge within the pond basin?

If not, then you probably have a hose working loose at one of the connections, or a cracked hose in need of replacement.

If your entire water circulation system is within your pond liner, then you probably have a problem in your "upper basin" above the waterfall. Look for a place where the liner edge has slipped down to the normal water level with the pump running, or for a tear or crack in the liner right near that level.

Good luck finding your leak!

Thanks! I'll check those things. I have another pump in there so the water is being filtered but I miss the waterfall.

Okay it's definitely in the tubing going up to the waterfall. Now all I have to do is figure out what to do. lol
