Anybody else used submerged lake mats to kill or prevent excess weeds? I'm looking at using two of the larger sizes, 12 by 24 feet, parallel to each other reaching out from shore, separated by maybe five feet of weeds. Goal is to help LMB access to all the CNBG (huge numbers of diverse sizes, up to over 1 pound) which manage to hide away in the dense bushy pondweed.

I could mention the company name, but don't know if I'm supposed to do that on this forum. Haven't seen any ads for them on PB, though if I use them & it works I'll sure ask them to market here. Already told them I'm a PB subscriber.

Like you, I have a lot of cnbg in and around the bushy pondweed. There seems to be many in the 3 to 4" sized. the perfect size for my lmb and hsb I think. Yes they can hide in the BPW but there seems to be so many of them it has to be fairly easy for the lmb and hsb to get one of them for a meal. I see some pretty big splashes as they feed on something in the pond.
