Pond Boss
So, I have been fishing for Bream using a Rattle trap, this time of year.
The big males are guarding the nests and they are pounding the rattle trap. You don't catch 20 or 30. You might only catch one or two per trip , but the ones you land are usually monsters.

This is actually one of the smaller ones I caught from my pond.
I have a photo of larger one, but its on a SLR camera and I haven't loaded it to my computer.
I have hooked some rally large ones , but they fought hard and got off. In total over the last 7 days I have caught 8 really nice bream using the rattle trap. This is how to get the big ones.

Beautiful fish...are those GSF genetics expressed, or can CNBG possess white margins on anal and caudal fins?
I've been catching some good gills on crankbaits recently also. One of my favorite ways to catch them. I do tend to use smaller crankbaits, and will take a pair of sidecuts and remove one hook from the treble(s). Easier to unhook, less damage to the fish.
I actually remove 2 of the barbs from each treble hook and still catch a lot!! I do that on all baits with trebles. I actually caught several nice cnbg yesterday on tiny torpedos topwater bait.
I forgot about the tiny torpedoes! I'll be needing to pick up a couple of those.
