I know a lot will depend on the variables, considering well fed with pellets etc, and good water quality . How much growth from 6-8inch fish stocked in April 2013 to April/May 2014? Midwest area, deep pond , old gravel pit.

I am thinking most will go from 6-8inch to 12-14inch and be close to 1-1.5lbs come April/May? By Sept/Oct 2014 be closer to 2-2.5lbs?

I found this online and found some info in the archives but wasn't sure how accurate:

Loc: peoria
May 2007 I stocked my first batch of 4-6 and 6-8 inchers. To date 9 lbs is the biggest one caught, 6 lbs is the average from that year class. 2008 year class are averaging 3-4 lbs. 2009 year class are averaging 1 lb right now. 2010 year class is going in in about 10 hours at 4-6 inchers.

Here is a link to some discussions about growth of HSB. It would be good if others could post pictures of HSB that they know the age of the fish.
