I scooped up a jar of water to see if the water would clear on its own but hasnt, so I need to check into the alum But... while viewing the water in the jar I have noticed 100's if not thousands of very small, say the size of a sharp pencil dot or mark on paper, They wiggle and move through the water surprisingly quick, can somebody give me a idea what they might be. I havent noticed them before but until all the cc recruits and res recruits this year and last I have run out of fhm and I am betting that the very small minnows will eat these critters. whatcha think?

Sounds like large zooplankton as in waterfleas. Defnitely a good food source for small fish and fry but even larger fish will eat them as in bluegills.
