Greetings. I'm new to the site, but have fished for more than 1/2 a century. I'm concerned to discover P.E.T.A.'s position on recreational fishing, and want to learn more about their influence related to fishing tournaments and other organized recreational fishing activities. Can you point me in the right direction, or does anyone have any experience or wisdom to share?
Welcome, Taihao! Pond Boss is a tremendous resource for all things pond and fish related, so you've come to the right place. There has been some discussion already on this topic, though very much on the surface. My personal feeling is that such extreme views don't have a great chance of actually making it into law, but one never knows. We avoid political discussion here on the forum, so that aspect of it will not be brought up, but I am sure you'll get some practical views/interpretations from some of the more experienced folks here. Hang around for some more input - we're glad you found us!
Taihao welcome to the forum. I would go to PETA's website and read what they are up to on this subject. PETA = People with very little constructive to do.
Taihao, welcome to Pond Boss.
Todd is correct about trying not to get into political dicussions here on the forum as it always seems to lead to acrimony no matter how hard we try to avoid it.
On a another topic, do you have a pond? If so, we love details and pictures.
his website is a scam, take a hike taiho.
he just goes around to forums and stuff and posts that same sentence to get people to click on his site full of advertisements.
oh yeah, please remove his website reference.
Greetings to all, and thanks for the warm welcome. I wish I'd had taken time to get a better orientation before posing my question or thanking the reference who steered me to the site. The reference was absolutely innocent and he had no idea that I would thank or otherwise acknowledge him in my posting. I was just being courteous, not promoting. I also now understand that this site isn't an appropriate venue to ask what I didn't think would evoke anything but assistance from persons who share my love for fishing and kids. I stand corrected.
no prob, its good to see your a real person, but that website you mentioned absolutely did not refer you to pond boss from its content (maybe the owner did, but not the content) all it was was a website full of google adwords links and nothing else.
I dont have a problem posting a website link that does indeed point to pond boss, but that one didnt.
Hi again. Just to close the loop for now, you're absolutely right that there was no link; I called a phone number, spoke with one of the owners who spoke very favorably about Bond Boss, and I didn't pay any attention to anything else on the page. More to come in the future. Thanks for your response.
