Does anyone have a good picture of the internal anotomy of a fish? I am specifically looking for the urinary system of tilapia. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Please lord give me strength not to post any questionable or unseemly comment regarding the urinary system of tilapia and give Brettski strength to avoid photo-chopping a picture related to the same. I'm trying here lord, I'm trying hard.

Very Funny GW, Very Professional Theo.

fishtech, what specifically are you looking for? I'm just curious while doing internet research for your request, and I'm not sure if I'm looking for a tilapia urinary system with or without a prostate?

Dang they have a small bladder. The must go wee wee all the darn time. Also notice that their brain is almost exactly the same size as their bladder. I don't have any idea what significance that has but I just thought that I would point it out.

That is correct , JHAP. Freshwater fish absorb water because they are higher in salt. To get rid of the excess water they urinate frequently. The urine is very diluted because the fish need to save all of the salt they can since the water doesn't have it.

When you think about it why would they need a large bladder, it's not like they ever have to "hold it". \:\)

On the one had Chris thanks for the information. On the other, now you've made me realize that every time I swim, I'm swimming in mostly fish wee wee. Thanks.......... I think.

Dang, now I'm really wondering about spawing season.

Jeez, I think I puked in my mouth a little.

GW is hilarious...just think about it, a fish swimming around frantically saying "I have to find a place to go pee" \:D
