Can anyone tell me if it is better to leave a fiberglass boat stored in the water or is it better to pull it out of the water and leave it on the shore? My guess would be the water is less harsh on the fiberglass bottom than the ground would be. Thanks

Even in frash water,I would take it out of the water. I use to have a lake cottage where I left my fiberglass sailboat in the water all summer and it would develope a dirty hull that was very hard to clean. Salt water would even be worse I think.

Leaving your boat in the water for prolonged periods will give your rig a pronounced "ring around the collar."
