Does anyone know where I can get a wireless, digital thermometer? I've hunted all over the net and seen Oregon Scientific and other popular brands (incl. home weather stations etc.) but not what I am looking for. What I find is at best a pool thermomemter with a 4 ft. sensor lead (not nearly deep enough).

I want to drop a long sensor wire to 14 ft. depth which means I need at least a 20 ft. run. Or a wireless unit preferrably, that can transmit 300 ft to my cabin. Goal is to keep tabs on bottom of pond temps. Haven't seen any posts on this? ANyone know of a unit that would do the trick??

Davis weather stations have an optional probe.

Multi-purpose temperature probe with 2-1/2" (64 mm)-long stainless steel housing.

Use to measure temperature of air, soil, or water. Add up to four probes to a single Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station. Includes 15' (4.6 m) direct-burial cable

see davisnet.com

I have a Davis wireless weather station with readout console inside and temp/humidity/wind outside.
