What do I do if I have blue-green algae starting in my pond?

Welcome Scotth!!!

The first thing to do is positively identify it. Second, what fish, if any do you have in the pond?

There are more questions that would help narrow down the best approach in your particular situation, like size and volume of the pond. What are your long term goals? Your budget? What is in your watershed that is supplying the high nutrient load? Do you have aeration? Age of pond?

I've compared pics on state web sight and the progression seems to match what I have.
Bluegill bass channel cat red ear wallie grass carp black crappie.
This is the 4th summer
I have a spring in the pond
2 acres
16' at the deep
Average depth 5'
No other plants growing around edge of pond
Grass down to the edge
Water shed does have some live stock on pasture above the pond, 75 yards of grass between.
No aeration yet. Looking and wind mills.
