Bad time for my ponds aeration pump to die. Money is low right now and I need a cheap solution, to run air to the bottom of my 10ft 1/4 acre pond. Does anyone know if a pump that may be cheap or a DIY solution?

There are several aeration vendors listed in the PB Resource Guide.

If it is a Thomas rocking piston type pump or a Gast Rotary Vane type pump there are rebuild kits available that are way cheaper than buying a new compressor.

What's the current situation?
Diffuser type, hose length, hose diameter, budget?

Possibly, aeration is not needed yet. Many folks don't fire their pumps until the water temps are continuously in the 50s or 60s.
The need is relative to the oxygen demand of the critters living in the pond.
