I am not sure if this is the proper category for this question but...

I am in the process of finishing a rennovated pond, we have concerns about its ability to hold water, by that I don't me leakin like a sieve, but slow seepage. This pond is in a creek bottom, and the water table is 10-20 ft down. Is there any sense in considering pumping water out of this shallow water table into the pond to keep it full etc.

If so where do I start.

thanks

Hey basscrack, I know you were talking about a windmill and I did a little poking around. Depending on the depth of the water table which isn't very deep I think you could get a well drilled for around 2,000$ or less. As far as the windmill I couldn't find a price online that contained every thing you need. Does anyone have experience with waterpumping windmills?
