Trout moved feeding areas - 05/21/23 08:49 PM
Hello all,
In my one acre pond, I usually feed all of my trout floating pellets at one corner of the pond about three times weekly and have great results in terms of fish showing up to eat and good sized trout. However, for whatever reason this week the group of trout that eats in the corner (I would guess 25 fish around) all moved across the pond to a different area where we keep a small boat tied up and were swimming there for about a week. They don't usually leave that corner and just swim around waiting for food all day. Now half of them have moved back to the corner and the other half are still by the boat. It's kind of odd to me they would leave their feeding area, so I was just curious if anyone experienced something like this and if there's a reason for it? In five years or more they've never moved from their regular spot which is convenient to feed them all in one place.
Thanks in advance.
