Nice videos.

I would have liked it if you would have added some audio with it explaining what we were looking at in the video. Might consider it for the next time.

Are those videos of this year's 2022 perch hatch Fry and feeding under the light?

Hello.

Yes, to increase the quantity of Zooplankton, with a big spot I concentrate the Zooplankton that I have in the big pond and with a pump below the spot I pump the Zooplankton towards my small pond.

Hello.

Half of my small pond is full of Filamentous algae, the other half is in the shade.

I couldn't wait for the toads to come and lay eggs to clean up these algae, they're here the cleaning begins.

azteca,

Do your toads only spawn once per year, or can you induce them to have some additional spawns?

Well since they are such efficient little workers, it is a good thing you take such good care of them!

Haven't had a massive toad explosion since my LMB population took off. I had no idea their tadpoles did such a job on FA!

Yes, SetterGuy posted about the beautiful symphony the American Toads make when they all hop in the water and call for a suitable mate. We had that great sound for a few nights, and then temps dropped and everything nearly froze. Once things warmed up again a few more toads made it into the pond and laid eggs but we really had an 'off year' for that. They look like ordinary toads and all come out of the woods, hop in the pond for maybe 2-3 days max, then all take off again so not sure the LMB have a lot of time to eat them or could keep up with the sheer numbers when they all make the migration at once.

The 'toad-poles' are jet black as in the video above and for a short time the sandy in the shallows is eaten clean of algae. IF they only stayed in the pond all year! But they all eventually grow legs, shed the tail, and then all of them as on a cue leave the pond together and struggle to all hop through the grass back out in the woods again.
